Terms of Use and Electronic Services Regulations

These Terms govern access to and use of fleethunter.eu and the electronic services provided through the website. They also constitute FleetHunter’s regulations for the provision of services by electronic means.

References to FleetHunter, we, us or our mean the service provider identified above.

These Terms are available free of charge in a form that allows users to access, save and reproduce them. Users should review them before submitting a form or application or beginning an assessment.

Scope and Electronic Services

FleetHunter provides the following electronic services through the website:

• access to publicly available website content;
• submission of contact and business enquiries;
• submission of candidate applications and CVs;
• invited access to an English-language assessment;
• electronic communication concerning applications, assessments and enquiries.

The website services described in these Terms are provided free of charge.

Separate commercial services supplied to clients, partners or other organisations are governed by individual agreements and are not covered by these Terms unless expressly stated otherwise.

Submitting information through the website does not itself create an employment, engagement, recruitment, training or deployment agreement.

Technical Requirements and Online Risks

To use the electronic services, you require:

• a device with an internet connection;
• a current browser supporting standard website technologies;
• an active email address where electronic communication is required;
• files complying with the formats and size limits stated in the relevant form;
• a compatible microphone and browser when completing a spoken assessment

Users are responsible for the security and correct operation of their devices, software, email accounts and internet connections.

Using electronic services may involve risks typical of internet communication, including malware, phishing, unauthorised access, interception or loss of data, fraudulent messages and temporary service interruption. Users should maintain updated software, protect their devices and access credentials, and avoid suspicious links, attachments and messages.

FleetHunter may use necessary cookies, session identifiers or similar technical data for website security, form submission, spam prevention and assessment-session continuity. Their purpose is described in the Privacy Policy.

Rules of Use

Users must use the website and electronic services lawfully, in accordance with these Terms and for their intended purposes.

Users must not:

• submit unlawful, misleading, abusive, defamatory or harmful content;
• provide another person’s personal data without lawful authority;
• impersonate another person or use a false identity;
• introduce malware or interfere with the website, its availability or security;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, services or data;
• bypass technical restrictions or security controls;
• scrape, crawl or systematically extract website content without written permission;
• use the services in a way that may harm FleetHunter, another user or a third party.

FleetHunter may reject a submission, restrict access or suspend a service where there are reasonable grounds to believe that these Terms, applicable law or website security have been materially breached.

Candidate Applications and Opportunities

Submitting an application does not guarantee:

• contact from FleetHunter;
• presentation to a maritime organisation;
• selection;
• employment or engagement;
• training;
• deployment.

Candidates are responsible for ensuring that information submitted through FleetHunter is accurate to the best of their knowledge and that they are entitled to provide it.

FleetHunter may request clarification or relevant evidence where an application progresses.

Job descriptions and opportunity information are provided for informational purposes. They do not constitute a binding employment offer, contractual promise or guarantee of particular terms.

Opportunities may be amended, suspended, filled or withdrawn. Final eligibility and selection may depend on the requirements and decisions of a maritime operator, private maritime security company or another independent organisation involved in the opportunity.

No employment, contractor, agency or other engagement relationship is created unless established through a separate agreement between the relevant parties.

English-Language Assessment

Access to an English-language assessment is personal and may be time-limited or protected by a unique link, code or access token.

Candidates must:

• complete the assessment personally and independently;
• follow the instructions presented before and during the assessment;
• provide answers that reflect their own language ability;
• protect their assessment link, code or token from unauthorised use.

Candidates must not:

• share assessment access with another person;
• allow another person to complete any part of the assessment;
• copy, photograph, record, reproduce or distribute assessment content;
• use unauthorised assistance, translation tools or artificial-intelligence systems;
• attempt to bypass, test, analyse or interfere with assessment security;
• disclose assessment questions or other non-public assessment materials.

Assessment results are indicative and may be subject to authorised human review. An estimated CEFR level generated through FleetHunter is not an accredited language certificate unless FleetHunter expressly states otherwise.

A candidate experiencing a material technical or accessibility problem should contact FleetHunter before beginning the assessment or as soon as the issue occurs. FleetHunter may, where appropriate, allow another attempt or provide an alternative arrangement.

FleetHunter may suspend access or invalidate an assessment where there is reasonable evidence of impersonation, unauthorised assistance, disclosure of assessment content, security interference or another material breach of these Terms.

Intellectual Property and Confidential Materials

The website and materials made available through it may include trademarks, branding, text, graphics, layouts, forms, databases, questionnaires, assessment materials, reports, templates, software elements and other content belonging to FleetHunter or its licensors.

FleetHunter grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the website and its materials solely for the purpose for which they were made available.

Without FleetHunter’s prior written permission, users must not:

• copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license or commercially exploit FleetHunter content;
• systematically extract or reuse website or database content;
• reproduce, disclose or distribute assessment questions or materials;
• reverse engineer or attempt to discover non-public assessment logic, scoring methods, prompts or security mechanisms;
• use FleetHunter materials to create, support or improve a competing database, assessment, website or service;
• use FleetHunter content or non-public materials to train, test or develop an artificial-intelligence or automated system;
• remove copyright, trademark or proprietary notices;
• use FleetHunter’s name, trademarks, logos or branding without authorisation or in a misleading manner.

Assessment materials, access links, non-public instructions, reports and documents supplied to an invited user are confidential and may be used only for the purpose for which they were provided.

Users retain any rights they hold in their original CVs, application answers and other materials submitted to FleetHunter. By submitting such material, the user permits FleetHunter to use it only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, administer the relevant process and comply with applicable law, subject to the Privacy Policy.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of FleetHunter’s intellectual property or grants a licence beyond the limited permission expressly stated above.

This section applies to the extent permitted by law and does not limit any mandatory statutory exception that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Third-Party Services and Links

The website may contain links to or interact with independent websites, communication platforms or services provided by third parties.

Use of those services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

FleetHunter does not control the availability, security, operation or content of independent third-party services and is not responsible for them except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

Availability and Responsibility

FleetHunter takes reasonable measures to maintain the website and electronic services but cannot guarantee that they will always be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device or browser.

FleetHunter may temporarily modify, restrict or suspend a service where reasonably necessary for:

• maintenance;
• cybersecurity;
• legal compliance;
• technical changes;
• protection against misuse;
• operational reasons.

FleetHunter is responsible in accordance with applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, consumer rights or other mandatory protections where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.

Commencement and Termination of Electronic Services

An agreement for access to public website content begins when the user accesses the website and ends when the user leaves it.

An agreement concerning a contact or application form begins when the user starts using the relevant service after these Terms have been made available. It ends when:

• the submission and necessary technical delivery are completed;
• related communication concludes;
• the user withdraws the enquiry or application;
• the service is lawfully terminated.

An assessment service begins when an invited candidate accesses the assessment after these Terms have been made available. It ends when the assessment:

• is completed;
• expires;
• is withdrawn;
• is invalidated or terminated in accordance with these Terms.

Users may stop using an electronic service at any time. A candidate may withdraw from an application or assessment process by contacting FleetHunter.

FleetHunter may suspend or terminate a service where reasonably necessary because of unlawful conduct, a material breach of these Terms, a security risk or discontinuation of the relevant service.

Termination of an electronic service does not automatically require immediate deletion of all related personal data. Personal data is retained and deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Complaints

Complaints concerning the operation of the website or an electronic service may be submitted to:

A complaint should include:

• the user’s name and contact details;
• identification of the service concerned;
• a description of the issue;
• the requested clarification or outcome.

FleetHunter will respond within 14 calendar days after receiving a complete complaint.

Where additional information is reasonably necessary to investigate the matter, FleetHunter may request clarification. The response period will run from receipt of the information required to review the complaint.

Personal Data and Cookies

Personal data submitted through the website is processed in accordance with the FleetHunter Privacy Policy.

FleetHunter uses only necessary cookies or similar technologies for website operation, security, forms, spam prevention and assessment-session continuity, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

FleetHunter may update these Terms where its services, legal obligations or website operation change.

The current version will be published on fleethunter.eu with its latest revision date.

Updated Terms apply to electronic services used after the revised version has been made available. Where required, material changes affecting an ongoing service will be communicated separately.

Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by Polish law, without depriving users of mandatory rights or protections that apply to them and cannot lawfully be excluded.

Disputes will be considered by the courts or authorities competent under applicable law.
